Dear Rabbit fans,
We are finally closing our Animation series this week!

For the finale Rabbit is screening ROBOT CARNIVAL, a unique collection of Japanese short animations by artists considered the rising stars of anime in the late 80s. This rare and wondrous compilation was a high-budget project centered around the themes of robots, electronic music and incredibly intricate artwork.

RUSSIAN SHORT ANIMATIONS by various directors

This week at rabbit,
we are continuing our animation series with a special set of short animations by various Russian and Czech directors. With work dating from the 60s up till the 80s most of them were made public only after the cold war. To name a few we will be screening work by Andrei Khrzhanovskiy, Fedor Khitruk, Yuri Noshteyn, Jan Svankmajer... and more. 

Hope you can join us for this insightful look into the Soviet avant-garde cinematic artistry! As always it is a FREE event open for everyone! Bring all the drinks you want!

note: the event starts at 8pm but the screening usually starts

PERSEPOLIS by Marjane Satrapi

This week at Rabbit, for our third animation series pick, we are screening Persepolis! This multiple award winning animation film, initially censored in Iran and Lebanon, tells the autobiographical story of writer and director Marjane Satrapi as she grows up within the Iranian Revolution. 

Warm drinks are to be served to combat this frightful weather!
This is a FREE event, and you can bring drinks of your choice as well.

LES TRIPLETTES DE BELLEVILLE by Sylvain Chomet

Dear Rabbit movie fans,
we are making a jump from last weeks 1970's animated masterpieces to a more recent gem of the french culture. "Les Triplettes de Belleville" by director Sylvain Chomet is our second pick for our animation series. Dipping in the spirit of Jacques Tati's beautifully subtle world, Chomet's work is a charm, and worth seeing more than once! 

We all loved it. Come and cozy up with us in the couches and bring all the Bs (bottle/beers/booze) you need.

Rabbit Movie Nights are back!!
Introducing the new year with our animation series, we are starting our screenings with the one and only 'Fantastic Planet' by the French director Rene Laloux and illustrated by Topor (close friend of Alejandro Jodorowsky and Fernando Arrabal from the Panic movement). 
This is not to be missed! There really aren't that many films like this in this world...

Dear Rabbit goers,
this is the time when people leave town to put on their festive attires and celebrate baby jesus with their mothers and brothers... 
BUT! in case you were looking for something different, come to movie night on wednesday! This week we are screening Xmas silent films from different directors of the early century , such as Thomas Edison, Edwin S. Porter and D.W. Griffith.
