OLD BAGS is a collaborative multi-disciplinary art project exploring the experience of the aging American woman. The intention is to use art to confront the anti-aging consumer culture. Poking fun at consumerism, and mockingly neutralizing a stale insult, older women have proudly stripped to their underwear and posed in front of the camera with shopping bags over their heads to create a provocative body of work.
Collage is the focal point in the work of Barcelona based visual artist - Lauro Samblás - Today his illustrations have evolved to become sculptural pieces. In his installations, conceptual compositions are dominated by saturated neon colors. After working with brands such as Perrier, Mango, Desigual and Gucci, he presents his exhibition called “Magazine“. The artist investigates and analyzes the fashion world and its advertising campaigns, where those are transformed with paint and collage. Fashion ads and art come together resulting in a radiant visual outburst.
101 Chairs is about groups of people, what makes a group and what breaks a group - presentation, liberty, ability, and qualification. Performing initially as a group, each artist is allowed a moment of self expression, around 5 minutes. During this time, the rest of the group will react together in collaboration through movement in regards to that artists decision and mode of representation, in a choreographed but unscripted relief.
Crayola Girl: The Crayon Takes Manhattan Katelyn and Sophia's very first collaborative art show, CRAYOLA GIRL: THE CRAYON TAKES MANHATTAN. These CRAYOLA GIRLS have a variety of paintings, drawings, digital photo collages, site specific installations, video art, and wearable art brewing in their enormous pot dripping with melting pink and orange crayons and scented CRAYOLA markers too!
Many of the pieces that will be shown embody the experiences Sophia and Katelyn have had individually and together in the past year and a half, living in New York as well their
empty room: an art exhibition is a minimalistic show featuring new work by artist, writer, and filmmaker Kelley Brannon. On exhibit, will be her new time-lapse jazz song video, Empty Chair (2016) and the first four smoke drawings from her third series, The Digital Age (2015). empty room: an art exhibition celebrates the less rather than the more and directly reflects Brannon's themes of isolation, singularity, technology, and economic class.
In Empty Chair, Brannon uses time-lapse, contrast, and empty space to support the emotive qualities of a jazz song
