13 APR 11: "Circus" by Grigori Aleksandrov
Dear Rabbit fans,
this week we are screening the melodramatic soviet musical 'Circus', one of the many musicals produced under the propagandist Stalin cinema era - which was meant to alleviate the hardship of soviet life under his power - directed by Grigori Aleksandrov. Made in 1936, this film has become a Russian classic starring the beloved actress/singer Lyubov Orlova (equivalent to Marlene Dietrich in Russia).
Hope you can make it for this cinematic gem!
It's FREE and we now serve beers and wine at our screenings (but to BYOB is still welcomed)
doors open at 8pm movie starts at 8:30pm.
See you Wednesday!
-Rabbit love
