20 APR 11: "Jalsaghar (The Music Room)" by Satyajit Ray

Dear Rabbit fans,
this week we are continuing our musical journey towards India with the magnificent work of Satyajit Ray: 'Jalsaghar' or also known as 'The Music Room'. One of the best from the Bengali multi award-winning filmmaker, Jalsaghar (1958) is a period movie which focuses on the decline of a semi-feodal aristocrat in Bengal (who is obsessed with the art of music) and showcases some of the best acts of Hindustani classical vocal and instrumental music, as well as classical dance.
