SERGE J-F. LEVY IS A NATIVE NEW YORKER. His photographs have appeared in a variety of magazines, including The New York Times Magazine, The London Sunday Times Magazine, Life Magazine, Adbusters, and Harpers. He is a member of the faculty at the International Center of Photography in Manhattan and also guest lectures at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Serge is represented by Gallery 339 in Philadelphia which recently mounted a solo-exhibition of his street photography titled "In Private." In addition, Serge has had solo exhibitions at the Leica Gallery in Tokyo and French Trotters in Paris. His work is held in the collections of The Museum of the City of New York and The Buhl Foundation and has earned him many awards, including the W.K. Rose $25,000 fellowship in the arts. Levy has also been recognized in competitions sponsored by The Photo Review, American Photo Magazine, and Photo District News. In 2007 Serge attended the Jentel Artist Residency Program in Sheridan, Wyoming. In 2006 he was a winner in The Magenta Foundation's Emerging Photographer Contest, and in 2005 he was commissioned by the Franklin Institute Museum in Philadelphia to create an exhibit of self-portraiture.

With delicate and striking composition, Levy’s MYNYC captures the dynamic stories of the American street- both the private and the public dramas played out every day on every block. His photos allow us to reflect upon those moments that encourage us to consider our collective experiences of memory, intimacy, and reflection.
