Saturday, July 9: Brooklyn Collage Collective Presents VITAMIN C

From Picasso and Braque's Cubist experiments to Richard Hamilton's pop art masterpieces, collage has been a primary tool of our most forward­ thinking artists for more than a hundred years. The collagists in "Vitamin C" capture this innovative spirit by assembling striking pieces out of re­appropriated images and found materials with technical mastery, subversive humor and imaginative beauty. This exhibition is organized by the Co­Founder of the Brooklyn Collage Collective, Lizzie Gill. The collective began in 2013 with the mission to work together to push the broadening definition of collage through collaborative exhibitions, live collaging events, education and dialogues.
