BIOWOMAN - a new art movement that emerged in St. Petersburg in 2013 and conceived by the author as a series of artists of international traveling exhibitions.
The uniqueness of the project lies in its BIOWOMAN spontaneous, self-organizing and open character. In this regard, one can speak of an entirely new type of art movement, which operates successfully without having a particular leader or permanent curator.
Traveling the world, the project continually involves and brings new participants with different backgrounds, age, language and cultural codes.
Today, this project brings together BIOWOMAN female artists from Russia, Germany, Israel, USA , France and China, working in different genres and techniques. (painting, photography, sculpture, installation , art objects , appliqué, digital art, embroidery)
All participants interested in the idea of movement, search for space to exhibit for female artists, which is still dominated by men's attitudes and tastes. Purpose - to show how women's work is not a salon, "decorative" trifle, but avant-garde phenomenon that carries a positive feminine world. This principle is laid down in the name of the project, because the "BIO" in Greek - "life." Thus, BIOWOMAN - a synonym for the natural, positive feminine principle in art.)
