SERGE J-F. LEVY IS A NATIVE NEW YORKER. His photographs have appeared in a variety of magazines, including The New York Times Magazine, The London Sunday Times Magazine, Life Magazine, Adbusters, and Harpers. He is a member of the faculty at the International Center of Photography in Manhattan and also guest lectures at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Serge is represented by Gallery 339 in Philadelphia which recently mounted a solo-exhibition of his street photography titled "In Private." In addition, Serge has had solo exhibitions at the Leica Gallery in Tokyo and French Trotters in Paris. His work is held in the collections of The Museum of the City of New York and The Buhl Foundation and has earned him many awards, including the W.K. Rose $25,000 fellowship in the arts. Levy has also been recognized in competitions sponsored by The Photo Review, American Photo Magazine, and Photo District News. In 2007 Serge attended the Jentel Artist Residency Program in Sheridan, Wyoming. In 2006 he was a winner in The Magenta Foundation's Emerging Photographer Contest, and in 2005 he was commissioned by the Franklin Institute Museum in Philadelphia to create an exhibit of self-portraiture.
With delicate and striking composition, Levy’s MYNYC captures the dynamic stories of the American street- both the private and the public dramas played out every day on every block. His photos allow us to reflect upon those moments that encourage us to consider our collective experiences of memory, intimacy, and reflection.

In combination of fragments and of hybrids, outward forth come from feet and limbs. or of the ostoporetic notions of the extremities of the bodies. protruding armature, extensions of bodies, entangled and stripped of their evolutionary usefulness, as taxidermied remnants are mere static homages. Where would these limbs go? Akin to amphisbaena or classical mythogogical double-headed snakes with potential for movement in either direction. These parts are building blocks as architecture has cinders, feathers, and scales. Or limp have gimps. And trigs have troggs cyclopean bird legs snake legs or toothlegs with flippers and dovetails and hooves, socks are unnecessary. The logs will find a settlement. Water moccasins will swim in restlessness. This part added to that.. and so on

Tal Shpantzer graduated with a B.F.A. degree in Photography/Media Art, with Honors from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1996. Tal spent four years shooting in Prague & Europe. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Her work has been published and exhibited internationally, including FrankfurtArt, Germany (1999), Prague House of Photography (1996), Starter & Sorter Gallery, Prague (2000), Artlink International Young Art, New York (2007). She is the recipient of a Soros Center for Contemporary Art grant for her Limbus Diary series, and a Morrison Vanderlip media award.
Tal is currently working on a book and collaborating with the labtest group on animating her photos into live videos for multimedia installations.
